SkyprintChinese Zodiac

Your animal was decided the day the moon said so, not the day the calendar did.

Enter your birth date and see your real animal, your fixed element, your year's element and your Yin or Yang, computed from the actual astronomical date of Chinese New Year for your birth year, not from 1 January.

Only your date of birth is needed, no time and no place, unlike a Western birth chart.

Most zodiac sites get your animal wrong if you were born in January or early February.

The Chinese year does not turn on 1 January. It turns on Chinese New Year, an astronomical date fixed by the second new moon after the winter solstice, which lands anywhere between 21 January and 20 February depending on the year. Anyone born before that date in a given year is still the previous year's animal, calendar year notwithstanding. Skyprint uses the real date for every birth year, not the 1 January shortcut.

Born 15 January 2025

Chinese New Year 2025 fell on 29 January. This birth date is still the Dragon year, 2024, not the Snake year most sites would assign it.

Born 9 February 2024

Chinese New Year 2024 fell on 10 February, one day later. This birth date is still the Rabbit year, 2023, by a single day.
